Open the contents and how-to-use page first. It lays out all thirty-seven tools in the order a project actually moves, from the first feasibility question to the file you hand a buyer years later.

Then begin at Stage 1, before you spend anything on design. The early tools are the ones that save the most, because the cheapest place to fix anything on an extension is before it has started. You will not need every tool on every project. Take the ones yours calls for and leave the rest.
